This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how KoreaCarHub.com uses them, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit it. Cookies let the site recognise your device on your next visit, remember your settings, and understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and tags work in much the same way, and this policy covers them all.
Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device, and they cannot read unrelated data from your hard drive. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you have supplied yourself.
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember preferences such as your language and currency, and to keep the vehicles you have viewed or saved available across visits. Some of this storage is strictly necessary for the site to work; the rest is optional and is used only after you have agreed to it. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site today; if that changes, this policy and the consent banner will be updated first.
We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data, and we do not sell the information that cookies generate.
These keep the site secure and functional — maintaining your login session, protecting forms against request forgery, routing traffic and remembering where you are in an enquiry or booking. The site cannot operate without them, so they cannot be switched off from within our site.
These remember choices you make — language, currency, measurement units, list or grid view, recently viewed vehicles and saved searches — so you do not have to set them again on every visit. Blocking them will not break the site, but parts of it will be less convenient.
A few third-party services appear on our pages and may set their own cookies when you use them: embedded YouTube players on vehicle and shipping pages, and the Kakao postcode lookup used when entering a Korean address. These parties process the resulting data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
We do not place advertising cookies and do not allow advertisers to set cookies through our site. If you want to understand exactly what an embedded service collects, please review that provider's policy.
Session cookies exist only while your browser is open and are deleted as soon as you close it. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or until you delete them, so that we can recognise your preferences on a later visit. Retention periods vary by purpose; we keep each cookie no longer than it is needed for the purpose it was set for.
You can control cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, block cookies from specific sites, and warn you before a cookie is set. The help function of your browser explains where these settings are.
From the same settings screen you can also clear the data this site stores locally in your browser. Doing so will sign you out and reset preferences such as language, currency and recently viewed vehicles.
Please note that if you refuse or delete cookies, some features will not work as intended — you may not be able to stay signed in, save favourites, or complete an enquiry or booking.
We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies we use change or when the law requires it. Any change is published on this page with a new effective date, so please check back from time to time. By continuing to use KoreaCarHub.com after a change is posted, you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or about how we use cookies, please contact us using the details in the footer of this site. For a fuller account of how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
