Delete your KoreaCarHub account

This page explains how to delete your account and data on the KoreaCarHub website (www.koreacarhub.com) and in the KoreaCarHub app (Android · iOS). You can read it without signing in.

Option 1. Delete it yourself — takes effect at once

1Sign in at www.koreacarhub.com or in the KoreaCarHub app.
2Go to MY (My profile) › Profile Information and tap “Close account” at the bottom.
3Enter your password, tick “I understand that this cannot be undone.” and tap “Close account”.
4Your account and the data listed under “What is deleted” are deleted at once, and you are signed out on every device.

Option 2. Ask us by e-mail

If you cannot sign in, first reset your password with “Forgot password”. If that does not help, send “Account deletion request” from the e-mail address you registered with to the address below. Once we have confirmed it is you, we delete the account within 10 days and reply to let you know.

When the account cannot be closed at once

A buyer with an order in progress, or a seller with a sale or membership request in progress, cannot close the account, because money or a vehicle is still on its way. Try again once the order is completed, cancelled or refunded, or write to us at the address above.

What is deleted

Phone number, address, date of birth, passport number, resident registration number and bank details
Saved payment accounts, profile photo and business licence (sellers)
Your password and sign-in sessions — you are signed out on every device
Favorites, recently viewed vehicles, notifications and unfinished bookings
Review photos and the likes you gave to reviews
Voice search history (transcribed searches and usage counts)
Sellers: listings, custom options and closed membership requests

Reviews you wrote

The rating and text of your reviews stay to help other buyers, but they are shown anonymously — without your name, country or profile photo — and review photos are deleted. If you want the review text deleted as well, ask us by e-mail at any time, before or after closing the account.

What the law requires us to keep

The information below is stored apart from other data for the period the law sets, then destroyed. While it is kept, no one can sign in with it or use it again.

Order, payment and contract records and trade documents (contracts, invoices, receipts, consignee ID copies, shipping documents)

Deleting some data but keeping the account

You can edit or remove your phone number, address and payment accounts on the Profile Information screen, and remove favorites at any time. To delete anything else only, ask us by e-mail at the address above.

After deletion

A deleted account cannot be restored. Signing up again with the same e-mail address creates a new account without the old records.
